Log Cabin Downtown location. 2 Bedroom, 1 bathroom, plus 2 loft rooms, in Downtown Chapel Hill off McMasters Street, walking distance to Franklin Street. Hardwood Floors, Dishwasher, (sorry, no disposal), Concrete counter-tops, Gas Heat and Central Air, Large Stone (non-working) fireplace, Washer/Dryer provided in basement. Sound great? It is not for everybody. This is actually a very funky house built like a tree house. Rooms are small and some floors are sloped due to age of the house.
It does have a new furnace, good heat and cool, pretty efficient, newish appliances (fridge, dishwasher, range) and everything functions well. Includes a partial basement (not dry but good shop or bike storage) which contains a washer and dryer (included).
There is limited space in the living area, but the home has a lot of functional space due to 4 rooms off the main space. Yes, I have had 4 people live in the house before, but I now limit to 2, or possibly 3 close friends (extra $75 for third person). There is only one bath though it is decent. This is a non-smoking property (no cigarette smoking permitted inside the home). It is pet free, although I would consider a single indoor cat with documentation (fish and lizards are obviously also fine). One off street parking space and there is street parking (some are able to fit 2 cars in the one space - up to you). Available for as early a July 1, July 15, or for Aug 1, 2021 for year to year lease.
